出身自风靡全球的偶像团体Boyzone的Ronan Patrick John Keating（罗南）拥有许多辉煌的成就与头衔：歌手、词曲创作者、Boyzone的领袖、父亲、丈夫、当红偶像团体Westlife经纪人（Ronan为了专心投入个人单飞的演艺工作，甫于日前辞去这个工作）。而他，才不过23岁而已！Ronan在1977年3月3日出生于都柏林，成长于一个平凡而温馨的家庭。小时候Ronan就展现出极佳的音乐天赋，开始演奏与创作。少年时期的他在周末假日时也做过各式各样的工作，包括在鞋店打工以及在母亲的理发厅扫地等。

1993年的一次试演会是Ronan生命中最大的转折点。当Take That红遍英伦之际，5个来自都柏林且志趣相同的年轻人从一项被称为是『Ireland's answer to Take That』的试演会中击败众多参赛者脱颖而出，由Ronan以及其它四个一样青涩紧张的新朋友－Stephen、Keith、Micky、Shane组成了史上最成功的男孩偶像团体Boyzone。Boyzone成军6年多来一共缔造了16首排行榜前三名的单曲，其中6首勇夺排行冠军，而4张畅销的冠军专辑全球销售量更超过了一千两百万张。毫无疑问的，Boyzone是爱尔兰最成功的流行乐团，而他们的优异成绩也为后来同样出身自爱尔兰的后生晚辈如Westlife、The Corrs、B*Witched踏入流行乐界铺好了一条康庄大道。
 

从出道以来Ronan已经荣获无数的奖项加冕与赞赏，包括多次Smash Hit Awards颁发的『最受欢迎男艺人』以及MTV音乐奖的『最佳流行乐团』，Picture Of You一曲也让他继George Michael与Elton John之后获得Ivor Novello Award的殊荣。1999年的夏天Ronan发行了首支个人单曲 When You Say Nothing At All，收录在荣获2000年全英音乐奖最佳电影原声带『Notting Hill（新娘百分百）』之中。而这支单曲也不负众望荣登单曲冠军宝座，维持了Boyzone辉煌的排行传统。同时该曲也是1999年最受欢迎的情歌之一，销售超过50万张。

今年一月Ronan飞到美国洛杉矶进行首张个人专辑的创作和录制工作，Ronan的名声与优异的音乐才华使他有机会和许多世界顶尖的词曲创作者与制作人合作，从Steve Lipson、Pat Leonard、 Barry Gibb到抒情摇滚王子Bryan Adams和Gregg Alexander，并在充满夏日风情的季节推出首张同名专辑。Ronan形容这张专辑融合了流行、摇滚以及传统音乐。专辑中的音乐类型丰富，包括有流行味十足的主打歌曲Life Is A Rollercoaster；带有摇滚风味的If You Love Me；布莱恩亚当斯和Phil Thornalley合作谱写的The Way You Make Me Feel以及加添爱尔兰音乐元素的Only For You。
