10月29号，Tommy Caldwell开始了他的multi-days/pitches的另一个big wall的征程。接下来我会将Caldwell每天的完成情况做最新的update在这里。

Caldwell Starts Dawn Wall Push

10/31/11 - On Saturday, Tommy Caldwell started his 2011 push on the Dawn Wall project, hoping to finally free El Cap's hardest unclimbed route. Unfortunately, he started sans partner Kevin Jorgeson, who injured his ankle almost two weeks ago on the Dawn Wall's huge, horizontal dyno on the 15th pitch.
Caldwell's wife, Becca, has joined him instead on the ca. 30-pitch route. As of Sunday evening, the Caldwells had climbed up through pitch nine. Tommy is blogging on his Facebook page—"Think I'll take a rest day today," he said today. "Looks like cooler temps are on the way. Good for grabbing razed [sic] blades."
Caldwell began this journey about six years ago. The meat of the Dawn Wall lies in the seven 5.14 pitches, several of which the pair had rated 5.14+. There are seven 5.13 pitches, with only two pitches that go under 5.12. The Molar Traverse starts on pitch 12, and is the crux of the route. At the end of the traverse is the infamous eight-foot dyno. Last year, Caldwell and Jorgeson were forced to bail off their attempt after three days due to a strong storm. The pair had gotten through 11 pitches—right below the Molar Traverse.
Climbing editor in chief Dougald MacDonald sat down with Caldwell and Jorgeson in September 2010 to discuss their processes, both mental and physical, on the Dawn Wall.


Caldwell本来的同伴是Kevin Jorgeson，但是由于在开攀两周前，Jorgeson在一个dyno的完成中伤到了脚踝，所以Caldwell和他的wife Becca开始了这次multiday的big wall climbing。
在Dawn Wall的30条左右的pitches中，7条5.13的pitches，7条5.14的pitches，还有一些难度高达5.14+，低于5.12的只有2条。而在大约第12个pitch的地方，有一个很难的平行traverse，而就在接近这个traverse结束的地方，又以一个8英尺的dyno为结尾。可见这次的攀登有多么的困难。祝他们好运。

2011-10-29
第一天
早上11：05分，完成第一，第二个pitch，开始攀登第三个pitch


11：39分，Going well so far，完成第5个pitch，等shade出来后就开始爬第6个pitch

11：49分，和太太休息在一个单突出岩体上，看来是要小眯一会。^^.加油啊，太太好漂亮。

晚上9：14分，完成了第6个pitch，在第7个pitch上fell了两次，现在正在吊床上吃晚餐，今天就到这里，明早7点再次挑战pitch 7

第二天
直接到晚上7：20，第7个pitch-〉第9个pitch 完成

第三天
休息一天，冷空气袭来，养精蓄锐。

2011-11-01
第四天
早上11：12分，正在攀登第10个pitch，希望在今晚可以完成它。

下午6：52分，看来这第10个pitch很难哦，尝试了7次还没有成功攀顶，而且风很大，让Caldwell有点抓狂。

晚上9：58分，试图顶着风暴，戴着头灯攀登这有着5.14的第10个pitch。Caldwell自己都被自己充沛的精力吓到。不过！！！这种程度的攀登强度和难度，还是让Caldwell有点承受不起。说的也是阿，毕竟这么大难度的multiday的攀登不是一件简单的事。还是好好休息，明天再战吧。

第五天
下午2：25，在煮咖啡，不会现在才起床吧{:4_87:} ，准备开始再次挑战第10个pitch。

下午6：26，恭喜恭喜，终于登顶了pitch10，pitch11，我来了！！！ (很多人祝贺哦

第六天

早上7:20分. 原来在2号晚上,Caldwell他们就已经完成了第11个pitch,准备吃完早饭后开始爬第12个pitch. 回来后准备应对大风,寒冷,潮湿的天气.{:4_111:}



下午5:26分.在于第12pitch战斗中.......

第七天

早上10:53分:昨晚竟然下雪了,而且风还非常的大.天气预报说今天会下雨,希望雨水把岩石上的冰碴都冲走.

下午5:44分: 今天没有攀登,跟太太睡了一天,但是不同的是,我们的床竟然在El Capitan的半山腰 ，还有什么比这个更惬意的了。


2011-11-05
第八天
早上10：33分：准备开攀pitch 12。安慰自己现在的气温有30摄氏度{:4_92:}


晚上8：00正：看来pitch 12是一个烫手山芋。首先，Caldwell的几个登山钉跑了出来，结果他made a big fall。然后他又broke了几个foot holds，不是好事来的{:4_114:} . 在尝试了5次之后，Caldwell终于找到了正确的顺序，顺利的晚生了pitch 12最低层的部分，然而接下来又是两次fall....气温又没有变暖的趋势，永远都是那么冷。终于，8次试攀都没有成功。看来今天这个pitch12真正给Caldwell了个下马威。不过good news是：I am still feeling strong.没错，Caldwell，就是这种精神。

第九天

早上8；02分：昨天晚上又下雪了，看来今天又要休息一天了。

2011-11-07 礼拜一
第十天

早上9：41分:终于出太阳了，回到第12个pitch，希望可以把没有完成的部分结束。

下午6：36分：成功完成pitch 12，pitch13也还不赖，不过Caldwell的妻子要下攀出山了。10天的山崖生涯也真不容易啊。


2011-11-08 礼拜二
第十一天

晚上7：36分：看来pitch12和13给了Caldwell个下马威。最近几天的攀岩让Caldwell手指的磨损很厉害。他准备明天9号再次试攀pitch 13，然后在10号，礼拜四全力攀登。

第十二天
晚上8：27分：竟然连父亲都出动了。真是虎父无犬子阿{:4_100:} 。白天拍的Caldwell父亲，Senior Caldwell的照片。


2011-11-10 礼拜四 第十三天

没动静哦，估计pitch13已经耗尽了Caldwell的全部体力，连facebook都没有更新了....关注中。。。。

2011-11-11 礼拜五 第十四天
今天下雨。我的手指基本上全报废了，父亲大人一早就下攀回去了。接下来的两天，主要是休息，看看手指上的皮肤可不可以尽快长回来。接下来就要再拼pitch 13。Caldwell感谢一直支持他的朋友们，还说要try as hard as possible,至少要最后再试一次pitch 13。。。。《{:4_86:} 难道。。难道。。。Caldwell遇到结劫了。。。希望他可以成功渡过阿》 保佑，保佑。


2011-11-12 礼拜六 第十五天

应该是正在休养调整中，2个小时前最新上传到facebook的照片，在突出的岩石上驻扎了2个帐篷，看起来好温馨。跟朋友们在一起的Caldwell好幸福啊{:4_113:}
